During this Social Media Marketing course in my Spring 2024 semester, we were tasked with creating a Social Media Marketing plan for a local business of our choice for our final project. This was to include several components such as a social media audit, competition analysis, USP distinction, target audience creation, social post improvements, and an editorial content calendar.
Project Strategies/Solutions:
I worked with a team of three other students to create an S/D/M/V plan for Seven Stars Bakery, a local coffee shop and bakery with several Rhode Island locations. I had the pleasure of leading our team by coordinating roles and assignment components. Our approach was to assist in increasing their online presence and attract the local market of college students. This included encouraging Gen Z and Millennials to become regulars at their Point Street location. We wanted to depict the environment online as a comfortable place to study for students at schools in the area such as JWU, Brown, RISD, PC, etc. Programs used for this project were Adobe Photoshop, Canva, CapCut, Figma, Fotor AI image generator for target market personas, Microsoft Word, and Procreate.
Overall, we successfully completed this project, and even had it used as an example for future classes!
